HYB: CAIRO LYRICS - HOT WIRES

Hi robins:  Betty, Did you mean CAIRO LYRICS by Peterson?  I love that iris 
and have never been able to keep it going for long.  It has the wierd smoky 
gold standards and almost black falls.  Since Peterson worked with AB iris, 
perhaps his lines need less humidity.  I have kept it long enough to see it bloom, 
however, and it drives me crazy that it languishes after a year or two.  Maybe 
there is a CAIRO LADY also for all I know.
As for using a hot wire to keep children out, as I remember from my own 
childhood, we used to love to dare each other to touch the wire and if kids haven't 
changed that much, the wire would probably soon be broken.  
On a more somber note, I remember reading in the Dallas paper about 20 years 
ago about a fellow who was tired of dogs getting in his garbage and wired the 
can to a hot wire from the garage and accidentally killed a child.
