Have LOADS of unopened daffodil buds on some of MY early ones! Not found a
crocus bloom yet though.
Still moving some of the reblooming SDB's to a better place. Better for me
anyway.
Form: In 2005 I used BLUE JAY WAY as pod parent because it had wide falls
and potential to carry rebloom. It is 1/2 Kathleen Kay Nelson. KKN didn't
grow well for me. Lost it early, Ben replaced it and I lost it again. All the
first year and at Alvaton. Crossed CLARENCE onto BJW. Planted 8 seedlings
and the first one . . . looks awesome. As I've stated I plant the strongest
seedlings first. Probably the best looking seedling (for now) from the 2005
crop. (growth and vigor) I'll let everyone know how it does on form! If it's
good! <vbg>
BLUE JAY WAY (Larry Lauer, R. 1998), Sdlg. 91-206-1. TB, 36" (91 cm), EM
"Ruffled blue, F. with white area around beard; beards white, yellow in
throat; slight sweet fragrance. Speed Limit X Kathleen Kay Nelson. Stockton 1998
"
Seeing a bit of iris growth. Several seedling clumps have multiple sprouts
suddenly shooting up. Seeing growth on Canadian thistle! Whoopee!
