Re: CULT:Season

Betty,
I thought it was just my valley. I kept dated digital images of my
garden last year, and I've compared to now. Today I have a couple SDB's
starting to bloom and some IB's with color showing in the buds. My photos
of last year show no color and only 1 open bloom in my median bed as of Apr.
26. Last year's season was very late, I was worried I'd have very little
for our show. So this year it looks to be a very early season. It's
possible we could be 30 days different than last year, this will be
interesting. I attribute it to the cloud/rain periods. Last year we had a
solid long 4 month nearly continuous rain period through the spring. This
year, our whole January was beautiful weather with nearly no drops of rain,
and so far our storms have been quick and we return to sun. What a pendulum
season this is going to be!

Daffodils are in their late stages here. Foliage growth is rampant in the
iris beds.
This spring maybe even be earlier than last year. Is this true in your
region?
