HYB: setting pods

Griff,

I do think you would greatly increase the odds of bloom out if you set a pod on a plant with no increase. But depending on your patience (waiting another year for another chance) and how much you care whether you lose the plant to bloom out- I have set pods on very tiny spindly little stalks on plants with no increase and had them mature without problems. Not even sure it actually caused bloom out, but certainly did sap more energy from the plant.

where that pollen count must be high- high enough that I can't quite come up with the energy to decide through this medicated haze whether to go to OKC or not... hope our friends in OKC have fared ok through the tornadoes
