HYB: Seedling bloom

The crosses of 2005 are blooming now. I've been posting some of their
pictures on Iris-photos. That year was a very bad one for hybridizing. Out
of 75 crosses only about 20 took. I had a severe shortage of pollen, and
pod parents weren't very fertile either. I ended with a few very wide,
unplanned crosses that really had nothing to do with my goals. I did cross
a few blue rebloomers, Amethyst Winter and Autumn Thunder with my too short
"Faux Yaquina Blue" seedling, so I'm getting a number of AW and AT
look-alike blossoms. They are pretty, but I don't need duplicates. This
evening I saw one from AT that has my seedling's big ruffled form in a
slightly darker hue. I'll certainly check tomorrow to see what stalk height
and bud count are.

I also have reciprocal crosses between Wearing Rubies and Epicenter
blooming. They are all dark reds and red-blacks. The biggest, most
attractive ones have poor branching and bud count. The two I've found so
far with good branching and bud count have small blossoms. Such is life, I
guess. :-( Betty, is there a possibility that this cross might produce
rebloomers?
