HYB: Seedling bloom

Thanks for the reply, Betty. I can't keep that whole bunch to see if any
are rebloomers though. I'll keep three or four of the best ones including
the one with the lined falls. Unfortunately only two so far have decent bud
count. That's my biggest trouble. My regular irises are just beginning,
and those that are open have very low bud count.

I also have a cross of Golden Raspberry X Wearing Rubies blooming. All are
either dark red or messy copies of Golden Raspberry which leave as fast as
they bloom. The strangest thing is that right in the middle of this bunch
is a beautiful two tone blue. And right in the middle of the row of the
blue possible rebloomers is a dark red. Go figure!

Both Wearing Rubies & Epicenter have rebloomed in warm climates so it is a
possibility in your area. Thanks for posting the seedlings. It's good to

see what this cross produces. This is a cross I wouldn't have made due to
the
strong plicata blood in Epicenter. Old habits are hard to break. Though I

did some mixing last year.

My Wearing Rubies is in serious trouble. I saw it was failing and planned

to move it to a pot, but life got in the way. It's probably gone now.
Looks like my only loss from last year. I may buy it again to join the pot

culture.
