HYB:Goals
As I watch these seedlings sprout my mind begins to wander (and wonder.)
<vbg> I've got this line I've been working for years. White/light blue with
dark blue beards, tall and well branched with rebloom! Several almost made
the grade but not quite. Several rebloomed. Several were tall. Several were
well branched and well budded! Most had yellow beards! You get the picture.
When out-crossing to Immortality, Feed Back, Violet Miracle, etc., (for
rebloom) I've found the blue beards elusive. I've actually gone outside the
original line to another that produced lavender beards.
This past spring I crossed two such lines together. I've seventy-five seed
in a pot (2 pots)and it looks like I'm getting very good germination. I'm
really tired of seeing pale blue or near white petals with yellow beards! It's
no longer a favorite line!
