Yep. <Are you sure it is a t beard and not an intense yellow? Tried alcohol extraction on beard?>There haven't been enough of them to get a ratio, but seeing them often enough that I wonder if HoM might have tt. First time I saw tangerine beard was in cross with CELEBRATION SONG. There were only three seedlings. I had no idea HoM had any t, so that was a bit of luck that caught my attention.
Also one tangerine beard showed up in RENOWN X HoM. That was an even bigger surprise. Lots of survivors from that cross. maybe 1/36? All from that cross have been white so far, but RENOWN does easily give yellow seedlings. More germinated this winter and last.
Going on memory (i.e., take w grain of salt), most HoM X pink have been deep yellow, a few closer to HoM color, a few w tangerine beard. NO whites. Even from HoM X TREASURED.
The latter is the only HoM X pink that did not give a tangerine beard, but there were few survivors. I think only 4 from the cross. TREASURED gives such wonderful form, I wish I could keep it alive long enough to repeat the cross, see if I can get a fertile tangerine bearded baby.
Anybody volunteer to make some more seeds for me to grow here in the vale? ;-)
