Chuck, I don't know that I can help you much at this time. Let me say that
Renown has produced 1 summer stalk (early July I think) since I planted it in
2004. Pure As Gold bloomed one July.

Some of the yearly reports have been misfiled and I don't have the time to
hunt for them. Daffodils are blooming and irises are starting to rapidly grow
and I must spend the time cleaning, planting, etc.. I'm sure they are all in
the photo archives (I've been on here since early in 1999) or reported in past
RIS Recorders. I've been pretty good about reporting.

Many people have reported on both iris talk and iris photo lists.

Not sure my report would be worth much anyway since, I define summer bloom as
anything that blooms after spring bloom and before Sept 15. Things like
Summer Radiance are rare. It blooms 6 weeks after spring bloom and then again
in the fall. If I understand your definition from an earlier discussion we
had, the early July bloom (Repeat bloom) is not due to a rebloom gene and the
fall bloom would be cycle rebloom. But it does bloom in the summer (early
July) and I'm smiling ear to ear when it does.

Iris season is upon us in my part of zone 6. (The work part anyway)

Happy Irising!

Thanks for your list. Hopefully others will post as well.
Summer rebloomers put up rebloom as soon as you get bud set temperatures.
So
nly the first 2-3 weeks of rebloom would be, of necessity, Summer rebloom.
Summer Rebloomers may not necessarily rebloom every year in this first flush
f rebloom, as plants may not have been mature enough for bud set when
emperatures are optimal. But will be in this first flush of rebloom in
ome years, but not necessarily all.
So, based on this, could you list the ones that yopu get in this first
flush
f rebloom?
The ones I get are
Low Ho Silver.............IB
asterwork............... TB
ure as Gold.............. TB
ueen Dorothy.......... TB
mmortality
iolet Miricle
enown TB

i Jill - search the archives for alternate yellow. There isn't a whole lot
here, but a few interesting/helpful posts by Chuck Chapman, describing
oncept of alternate yellow and how it would work re: orange etc.
Chuck - Defining summer loosely as any time other than spring and starting at
east a month before first frost? Usually August to mid September here at my
lace. avg first frost mid Oct. All I can think of right now. This thread
as been posted probably more than once in the past, so might be worth looking
or a few years back.
For sure (in no particular order)
