Mike: from my own personal experience.... spurias did not survive in THIS
climate. I think this may have more to do with soil than with cold, however.
John Coble reports the same in his garden as I have experienced here in
western NY.... first year, A-OK, second year bloom... then ** poof **. I
usually take ownership for any little green deaths.. but others have reported
the same. FWIW
Kathy Guest - watching the snow... not actually FALLING, but rather going
sideways past my window. Charming Daughter reports doing one donut and then
