The African Iris is Moraea.  Latin for J. Moraeus, father in law of Linnaeus.

An evergreen irid  from South Africa.  Hardiness is 25 degrees F. or higher.
 Zones 9 and 10.

Moraea iridioides var. LEMON DROP: white with yellow bands,1 1/2 inches to 2"
, the crests of the style marked with blue.  Blooms every 10 days throughout
the year.

M. iridioides var. bicolor ORANGE DROP
