Dorothy,
Please do be around for a long, long time. I only suggested that you change
your will to bequeath your iris literature and materials to the AIS Library
because so often such items are discarded by heirs who do not realize how
important such iris material is...or who don't care. Many of the iris books
and other literature I have purchased over the years have come from the
libraries of great irisarians of the past...in least in these cases the heirs
sold the materials to used book sellers...in lots of cases the material is
just thrown out. For many years I have wished there was a viable AIS library
where materials would be preserved for future research and the use of
irisarians of the future...now we have one!!!
Re your "bad" habit of haunting old book stores, doesn't everyone? (LOL) My
children have acquired this habit almost to the extent I have it...but of
course they are looking for items in their areas of interest...but they do
keep a look out for iris items. My daughter has found several really rare
items for me in her haunting. I think I trained my children well! LOL again.
