Lloyd Zurbrigg retired as head of music department at Radford Univ and moved
to Durham NC several years ago. He was very ill for a couple of years, but
is now in good health.
On a different subject, are you growing the tender evansia irises in Fla? I
would think you could grow most of the tender evansias outside. Even I can
grow Iris japonica here, but cannot bring it to bloom outside because it sets
flowers too early which get killed by freezes. But I think it should do okay
for you. It is so lovely...last Sat. I went to Richmond to give a little
program to the Central Va Iris Society and Bill Smoot came over from
Portsmouth (on the southern coast of VA) and brought a stem of Iris japonica
in bloom....how elegant and beautiful! Clarence Mahan
