Re: Licensed Hybridizers
Granted that I have little to no knowledge about either the judging,
introduction, and hybridizing processes, but to me the issue is that it is a
giant fallacy to believe that only judges or experienced hybridizers could
possible come up with a new quality iris.
Are you willing to risk missing a really great development (albeit accidental,
or not based on a sound genetic plan) just because the hybridizer isn't
licensed. Some of the greatest discoveries in history have been accidents.
I think the analogies to literature and art mentioned by others are valid.
