Hi, I forgot to mention that before I pollinate the stigmatic lip, I break off the falls. This makes it impossible to an insect to land on them and accidentally pollinate with some other pollen. I do this because it's easier than using netting; however, the irises do look "strange" with 3 standards and no falls. Suzanne Sluizer sluizer@cs.unm.edu
