"Rock irises" are what iris nuts call "reticulatas". There was a great
discussion about them here on the list a few weeks back. (The discussion
lasted longer than the irises, I think.) But yes, there are other colors.
There is true blue, white, grey, and a yellow species, Iris danfordiae,
which is lovely and early blooming but a bit hard to maintain over the
years, compared with the others.
