Tom, I too have been searching for balkana Darby for several years. If
either of us find it, let's agree to help the other get it. I suspect our
best chance may be England---perhaps Graham might be able to advise on this.
As I will be going to England this year, I have this on my list as one of
the things to seek (right after a knighthood! :))
Re your breeding objectives, Hurray! Hurray! You are talking real
hybridizing rather than pollinating pretty flowers. In the long run, this
type of work is going to pay the big dividends! And the route you are headed
is going to give you remontant irises also---I'd bet big money on it!
