Re: Selling, cutting&Mem'lDay

My former garden was the strip between street and sidewalk on a busy
one-way street in Denver. I would sell a few stalks for a dollar each,
if someone asked and offered to pay.

Each Memorial Day for several years an elderly man came and requested
iris stalks for his wife's grave. She had loved them. I always gave them
to him. Then one year he didn't come, and never came again. I never
missed the iris, but I do miss him.

Cutting my iris never hurt them. ** Carol Townsend

** Now Clarence, don't get after me for being absolute, again. It just
sounds better that way than hedged. Cheerio.
