As many people do, I have many squirrels in my garden. For the most part
they are well behaved. Ususually, a rhizome dug up by the squirrel is quite
incidental to burying or digging up nuts. Crows, however, will actually pull
up rhizomes and strut around the garden carrying them in their beaks.
