Dear Robins,
The Louisiana Irises I have do fine for me. I have them in the more
moist locations I have and I keep them mulched. That is except for the
ones which the mulch washed away from. Cold springs are more of a problem
here than the winters. The Irises survive the winter. It is when we have
an extremely cold spring like last year that I can have trouble with them,
but even then, most of them bloomed in June. Water is very important in
the culture of these Irises. Also, they require an acid soil.
