I planted iris for the first time this year in a bed that runs from my front
porch to the edge of the house. It is an area about 15 feet long that gets
good sun, is protected from wind on 3 sides and catches light from a street
lamp.
Well I would have never believed it, but, I currently have twenty stalks in
full bloom (none of the iris in the back yard are blooming yet.) Mezmerizer
is astonishing. I planted two rhizomes in August. It has grown to a dozen
plants with 8 - 3 foot stalks loaded with bloom.
Spring is coming, and it will be good!
