I just purchased Currier McEwen's "The Siberian Iris" (Timber Press 1996).  
It was every bit as good as all the raves on the list.  It is a must read 
for anyone interested in Siberians.  The discussions of cultivation, 
introducing tetraploid characteristics and growing seedlings was especially 
clear and enjoyable.  J.S.
