When to transplant LI

This past winter, for the first time, I tried my hand at growing iris
plants indoors.  (I moved into my new house to late to plant anything
outdoors last fall.)  Now I have several Louisiana iris that with leaves
about a foot tall growing in my basement, along with various clematis,
buddleia, etc.  Since this is also my first stab at growing Louisianas, I
would appreciate any advice regarding when to move outdoors, how long I
should harden them off before transplanting, etc.
