Jill,
The large growers in the Northwest, Schreiner's and Cooley's witnessed
devastating losses in their crops during the winter of 95/96. I believe
wholesale orders were cancelled or reduced to a minimum. I understand
they had over 60 inches of rain that winter. I haven't heard any
reports of this winter, but I do know that mother nature was starting
out the same this winter as last.
There are iris growers all over the country and I'm sure that most were
not affected by bad weather. I know I was not. There is a "Shopping
Section" in the back of the bulletin of the American Iris Society
listing many sources for iris. Join now if you aren't already!
