I disagree.
*Provided* that people edit the subject line (which we do not always do) then
you have the right to exercise the delete key and reduce the amount of posts
to a reasonable number. For example, Sharon McAllister's excellent posts on
arilbred breeding are not of great interest to me. I just skip over them
(although they are all filed for future reference). I find that a quick scan
of the body of a message soon reveals the gist - most messages are only four
or five sentences long, and I find I can read all my mail in twenty minutes.
A bit longer at the weekend though! I guess the volume of mail would be
reduced once everyone gets outside (I can tell when the sun is shining in
most of the US - you all go quiet!).
A newsgroup sounds fine, but at the moment iris-L isn't broken, so don't try
to fix it. United we stand....etc.
