I'm glad to hear an experienced grower like Rick endorsing non-chemical methods.
I know about solarization and I agree it's a terrific idea (except for the
slaughter of the earthworms and other friendlies). I'm just curious whether
I could have a nice-looking flower bed while I'm reconditioning my soil
rather than an ugly old mess of Visqueen and rocks. :-) Wouldn't that be
nice?
