Re: Instructions on starting irises from seeds

Donald,

Norm Deno, who lives here in State College, has written a very extensive
book plus a supplement about seed germination. Norm is a retired chemistry
professor (worked at Penn State) and he approaches seed germination as a
chemist. Apparently there are lots of instructions for iris seeds as well
as seeds of about everything else in his two volumes. He's been recommended
by Arrowhead Alpines in their seed germinating instructions. I spoke to him
yesterday and he told me that the two books together are $35 and just the
first book (w/o supplement) is $20. I'm currently looking hard at my budget...

Here's the info on getting in touch with him:

I know the book is kind of expensive, so if anybody has a cheap alternative
now would be the time for a posting! :-)
