I have used the mini-blind markers for over three years and
did not have this trouble - I live in Zone 3 - a little bit
colder than Arnold and, more importantly, we are usually not
subjected to the awful thaw-freeze heaving cycle that seems
to afflict so many of you. It does happen, of course, but not
to the point that I have seen on this list.
A few blinds *did* rise up (heave) about 1" but I had them down
about 3" in the ground so none was misplaced and I certainly did
not lose any. I had one iris that rose up (a Siberian, of all
things) but I just pushed it back down...keeping protection on
my plants is important until the all clear is sounded by Mother
Nature.
We've had more snow this week and another big storm is predicted
in the next two days....skiing weather. :-))
