I use markers from Eon Industries and a Dymo label maker. The labels
last six years. In fact, I'll replace the markers this summer because
the legs are rusting. At the same time, I'll make new labels. I've
used the extra slats from long blinds for seedling markers. Cut them in
half. They are also good used as painting guides around trim work. Us
"Depression kids" learned to make do.
