Re:  Henry's White (JI) quoted as source being "Walters".  Walter's Gardens
is a large propagating nursery (100+ acres) (and tissue culture lab for
hostas) in Zeeland, Michigan (next to Holland, Mich.)  They supply many
perennials to Franks, K-mart, etc., etc.  I've seen their rows of JI in the
field.  1000's of plants, all the same 3 fall red-violet just slightly better
than the species in form.  Their stock was started with seed from Japan.
 They did have one row of "named" varieties which they offered to sell to us.
 We declined, as they were meaningless names, and no quality to consider.
