Amy Hill asked if dwarfs always have a hard time surviving. Here in
NW Iowa, which isn't all that far from Lexington, NE, and climate as
severe in cold if not wind, my experience is that the SDBs do a
better job with survival than TBs. For me, and for others in this
area (in and around Sioux City, give or take 50 miles) they are more
hardy, tougher, more vigorous, not less.

NW Iowa Zone 4 (where spring is finally coming with warmer weather
and spring rains are fast removing the snow, even the huge piles, and
where spring bulbs are popping through, where new green iris shoots
are showing. Wonderful!!!!)
