I also planted RITZ and ROYAL KNIGHT, along with LITTLE CHESTNUT and
STITCH WITCH purchased from a hardware store well past planting season in
1995. I don't think RITZ bloomed last year either, but it looks good
this year. It turns out that my ROYAL KNIGHT is actually ELEANOR
ROOSEVELT (Sass/McDade 1933). It won a blue ribbon at the REG. IV Fall
1996 show and is my first iris to send up a bloom stalk this spring! The
others are doing well also.
