Greetings to all,
My name is Marilyn Vernon. I live in a small town in southwest Tennessee
on a 1 and 1/2 acre sub-division lot. I manage to squeeze in as many iris as
time and space allows on my partially shaded lot. I grow several kinds of
iris, the greatest per centage being tall bearded. My husband mows the grass
and I care for the flower beds. An arrangement that certainly works for us.
I have two teen-age daughters. Gardening is my "escape" from my regular
job - teaching 4th grade.
It looks like we are in for an early bloom season this year. The SDBs are
blooming already (it's March 25).
I am looking forward to meeting iris growers on the internet.
