Milorganite works for us, somewhat, at least in keeping deer and rabbits
away from Hosta, Beans and whatnot. You have to add more after a
couple of rains and if deer are really hungry they will eat the stuff
no matter what you use. At least they do here. I saw where they had
stripped the Rhododendron today.
