Priority mail is indeed cheaper, but there are risks involved. If you
do not insure your package, and this is an added expense, you are out of
luck if the package is lost. As a business I can tell you that during
our shipping season we ship hundreds of boxes and this year after losses
and long delays using priority mail (14 days to OKlahoma, and 13 days to
San Francisco) we are totally shipping by UPS. They have tracking and
will automatically insure packages up to 100 dollars. Slower but
safer!
