We have had no problem at all with Blyth hybrids. Actually I have liked the
ones we had sufficiently that we sort of went looking for more in last
summers purchases.

If there is a problem in some areas, I suspect it may not be winter
hardiness but a failure to adapt to wetter climates. I am not sure just what
the climate is at Tempo Two but my guess is that it is quite dry as well as
relatively warm.

We have dry hot summers and a sandy loam soil which drains so quickly that
it is tillable about two days after the snow melts. With the exception of
the snow, this may be more like their home conditions.
