I agree completely with Celia on this point.  I have been trying to
think of why one would kill ants, before replying to Lora note.  Apart
from fire ants and ants that are damaging your house or food, there is
no reason at all.  This applies especially to little ants.  The same
applies to snakes unless they are a direct threat to your children, as,
from experience, I know they can be in some areas such as Southern
California.
