If we report only on the strong growers, do we assume those not
mentioned are slow? I was reporting on how they grow for me. I have
seen many of Blyth's cultivars at conventions and elsewhere and know that
they grow vigorously and bloom profusely.
Many of my irises hybridized in Texas won't grow here. I reported on
this several months back. I have seen my introductions fail miserably at
far off conventions, but I just grin and bear it. At Boston, I counted
six markers for MISS SCARLETT but nary a plant!
I trust my intent harms no one.
