I've already got 2' of snow on the deck, and it's so deep I can't get to
the white pines anymore to knock the snow off with my broom (which can't
reach their tops anyway). I lost several pines and branches off other
pines and my old apple trees, not to mention the maples. The snow this
winter has all been heavy, wet stuff and very destructive. We are well
and truly snowed in here -- haven't seen or heard a snowplow for hours.
Thank goodness for library books and the iris-l.
