Being a relatively new member to AIS (joined in 92) I don't have the
repretoire of horror stories like some of the long time growers do. This
morning I awoke up to a most knee weakening sight. Neighborhood kids had
gotten into my MDB bed and pulled all the name tags out and scattered them
everywhere! *sob*. I have a collection of 80+ MDBs and most of them new
acquisitions from last year. I have no idea what these things even look like
yet. *another sob* I picked up off the ground (along with my jaw) about 40
scattered name tags along with broken leaf parts and uprooted rhizomes.
Luckily...somewhere in this house lies a map of the garden that will tell me
to which plants these tags belong. Unluckily, I have no idea where this map
might be. Indiana Jones...where are youuuuuu!?! I thought if I wrote this on
Iris-L it would act as therapy and calm my jangled nerves....it seems to be
working...the voices are going away...."Sterling, sharpen your
pitchfork....find the children...."
