Hi all,
It's Autumn in the southern hemisphere, summer having gone out with
one last round of bushfires in Victoria. I've finished transplanting my
irises and many are putting on increase. I wonder if I will get any
autumn bloom? Can I call it rebloom, if they haven't yet bloomed in
spring?
One I'm hoping for is a Blyth dwarf called 'Swish'. A little gold iris
with feint plicata markings.
Spring may not be far away here. Some grape hyacinths have 8" growth,
and jonquils are just pushing through the ground. Wishful thinking?
I've been busy reading back copies of AIS bulletin sent to me by the
Victorian iris society librarian. Lovely to see some familiar names and,
in some cases photos of Iris-listers.
Regards, Jan Clark, in Australia.
