The 'Walking Iris' comes from the Mexico,Cen.Am,So.Am area,
its of the Iris group, small flowers that last one day,
sends up a flower stalk from the base of the plant by one
leaf, every time it blooms, it branchs off and forms another
bud, can do this for some time. A NEW plant forms at the
bud joint, as it grows, its weight pulls the stem down until
it touchs the ground, where the new plant takes root. In other
words, it "Walks". I had them growing in Hawaii, had close to
200 plants of it growing, had come from one small start!
