Hellow everyone,
It's getting to be that time of year again. Spring shows are coming up and I
have already started getting inquiries about the need for certificates of
insurance for the venues where the shows are being held. For those of you
that save your AIS Bulletins, on page 74 of the April , 1997 bulletin there is
a full page article I wrote explaining when the insurnace is needed and how to
go about obtaining it. The only thing that has changed is the name of the
person to whose attention you would send your checks, etc. The new person is
Dianne Coen.
I am having a copy of each certificate sent to me as well it case it is sent
directly to the venue I have a record of it if anyone gets concerned.
For those who did not keep their April 1997 Bulletin, here is the information
you need. If the venue you are having the show at requires to be named as
additional insured you need to send your request to Rodman Ins. Agency at 75
Wells Avenue, Newton Centre, MA 02159-3297. You need to state the name and
address of the venue and the dates of the show. The charge is $50 per day and
the check should be included with the request. The check is made payable to
Rodman Ins. Agency. Dianne's phone number is 617/527-2636.
As always, if anyone has any questions regarding the need for a certificate or
any questions regarding the AIS insurance policy itself please do not hesitate
to give me a call. My work number is 213/525-3794. Or, you can always just
send me an email at sammygiz@aol.com
