And here in zone 7b (or somewhere between 6 and 8) west of the big ol
mountains that 'protect' us from the Atlantic 'maritime' effect on
climate, I. germanica isn't showing any signs of stalk formation, and I
don't think we've had weather cold enough to kill incipient buds since
November.
So much for what zones tell us - location tells more.
