Cecila,
If I understand you correctly you would have a 2.5 foot high box around
your arilbred bed and it will be covered with plastic. I think that
this would be certain death for them in your climate. The humidity
level will become to high and they will probably rot. You would be
better off with something higher that would allow good air circulation.
something in the range of 5/6 feet high using pvc as supports formed
overhead as a tent and then covered with plastic. I believe Arnold
Ferguson has some sort of overhead roof in his Washington state garden.
Maybe he can tell us what he has done?
