Forecast tonight is low 20s. It hit mid 20s last night. All the early
irises in town were thoroughly zapped and I'm sure more of the buds which
managed to survive last night will get theirs tonight. Too bad, they
looked so nice next to areas of daffodils in full bloom. I think some of
mine have buds in the fan, esp. some of the ARs. The old iris in the barn
lot has stalks which would have bloomed late next week probably - not now.
I think JUAN VALDEZ has bud in the fan as well. Does anyone know if this
is an early variety? I've looked thru catalogs and can't find a bloom time
listed on it. First year for it.
