I believe all the Sections are supposed to be for AIS members.  Yes, it is
possible to have a subscription for the section newsletter but they would not
be members.  AIS +1-2 section memberships is less expensive than several of
the other Plant Societies.  North Am. Rock Garden Soc. was $25 in '94 and I
believe the Am. Rose Soc. and Orchid Societies are considerably more than
that.  Am. Peony Soc. is $7.50 (a nice bulletin but much smaller).  Instead of
trying to break the back of AIS, I think we should count our blessing that we
