Linda,
I meant to recommend a couple of varieties that are completely deciduous
here and are late to start. Aunt Lucy (Richardson '94) and Blueblood
Yellow (Rudolph '92). I don't know how they would do in your climate.
I meant to keep an eye on others but did not get a chance, however from
memory I recall that a number of Schreiner varieties are this way
also.
