Dennis, I'm not sure what we're supposed to do, but I've been carefully
cutting off the bad stuff. It's not easy to get at ruined central fronds
still trapped between healthy outer fronds, so I'm not trying to do that. I
worry that tugging on those might injure the growth point beneath them. But
where I can isolate a ruined leaf, I'm cutting it off below the bad place.
All rotten-ruined foliage goes as soon as I can get to it, because it
worries me to see that much nastiness held close to rhizomes. They might
get notions of following suit.
On my nelsonii, the green is coming back to leaves that were only yellowed
and not rendered dead white. So I'm holding off trimming those, to see how
much they can recover.
But I'm no expert!
