A lot of the commercial "soil amendments" you get at the landscaping supply
places are like that. Out here one of them is Redwood Soil Compost. Shredded
redwood with a little ammonium sulfate (30-0-0) added. Works great. (don't use
it on roses though).Different areas have access to different trees to use for mulch.
